About these terms

These terms cover your use of Signal Scout, provided by Signal Scout, United Kingdom. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. Questions go to nickadamstewart@gmail.com.

The service

Signal Scout searches the public web for local businesses and shows evidence of signals such as a missing or outdated website. Results are research aids, not guarantees: a detected signal is a reason to research and approach a business, never proof that it needs or wants to buy anything. Scores, value ranges, recommendations and outreach drafts must be reviewed by you before you rely on or use them.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be 18 or over to use Signal Scout. Give accurate details when you sign up and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

Acceptable use

Use the service lawfully. Do not use it to send spam or to contact people in breach of UK GDPR or the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Do not present a score or signal as proof of wrongdoing or of a business's needs.

Outreach

Where your plan includes outreach drafts, you copy them into your own email client. Signal Scout does not send anything on your behalf. You are the sender and are responsible for what you send and to whom.

Plans, payments and refunds

Paid plans are monthly subscriptions billed through Stripe. You can cancel at any time from your account page and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. See our refund policy for how refunds work.

Your content

You keep ownership of what you put into the service, such as Scout settings and saved prospects. You allow us to store and process it only so we can provide the service to you.

Our intellectual property

The Signal Scout software, design and branding belong to us. You may use the results of your searches in your own work, but you may not copy, resell or rebuild the service itself.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service available but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted. Public web pages change and may be unavailable when a search runs. We may change or remove features, and will tell you in advance about changes that materially affect a paid plan.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. You can stop using the service and cancel your plan at any time.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided as is, and results depend on public information that may be incomplete or out of date. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on results, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we will tell account holders about significant changes before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute.
